Paws We Luv Pet Sitters® is currently building a team of reliable, adult professionals who possess the following:
- Maturity and a sense of professionalism
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow the detailed instructions of our clients
- A reliable, insured vehicle
- A valid drivers license and an excellent driving record
- A working cell phone, email account and home access to a computer
- Excellent personal and work related references
- Flexibility and the willingness to work Monday through Sunday, on holidays and the hours specified by our service contract
- Be a legal citizen of the U.S. and able to pass a formal background check
- Reside within our service area
- The willingness to become certified in pet first aid and CPR
- A great work ethic and sense of teamwork
Paws We Luv Pet Sitters® will be required to perform some or all of the following duties for our clients:
- Feed and water pets at scheduled times
- Administer medications (possibly including the administration of injections or subcutaneous fluids)
- Daily dog walks (even on inclement days)
- Play with or otherwise exercise pets
- Brush pets and clean up after them (including the occasional uh-oh)
- Overnight pet/house sitting (negotiable)
- Pet transport to and from veterinarians, groomers or other locations
- Minor household care such as bringing in client’s mail, newspapers, etc., adjusting lighting, blinds, television volume, etc., and checking the security of windows, doors, etc.
- Watering plants and occasionally filling swimming pools
Most of all, we are looking for people who have the availability to conduct pet care visits ranging from morning hours (7 to 10 a.m.), mid-day (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and evenings (7 to 10 p.m.). We are also looking for those special pet care specialists who are available for overnight stays in the homes of our clients. Individual assignments may include once a week visits or visits seven days a week, so flexibility is important.
Pet care is a service business for independent-thinking, responsible professionals, but above all, anyone who works for us MUST LOVE ANIMALS. Our primary focus is meeting the needs of the pets and pet owners we serve.
